Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Data Scientist to join the Analytics Product Development Team to support the development and roll out in new regions of Webdata Insight product, our service for assessment of small and medium-sized enterprises using alternative data. What you will do:

• Develop Machine Learning models using traditional and alternative data for onboarding of new clients/markets to the Webdata Insight product.
• Data extraction and processing, model training, validation and monitoring.
• Evaluate the performance of the trained models and presentation the results to stakeholders
• Produce ad-hoc analysis on the developed models
• Work on proof-of-concept projects to support new Webdata Insight product opportunities
• Maintenance and improvement of the existing model development pipeline
• Research and development of new advanced analytics solutions
• Document the modelling/testing process

Qualifications

What you are expected to bring:

• A degree (BSc level) in a numerical discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and econometrics, Physics.
• 2+ years of working knowledge in Python – preferably both Python's own syntax but also some of its main analytical packages (such as Pandas, Numpy, scikit-learn)
• Understanding of how and when to apply analytical approaches including regression analysis and machine learning.
• Grasp of probability, statistical inference, optimization algorithms, linear algebra, and calculus.
• Interested to learn and understand new technologies.
• Good at spotting problems and quickly proposing solutions.
• Fluency in English

Any of the following will be considered an advantage:

• Experience with deep learning and other advanced modeling approaches to extract and automate insights from data.
• Experience with Databricks platform.
