Position Title: Systems Engineer

Team: Global Technical Support Team

Type: Full-time, Rotational Shifts (24/7 process)

Experience Required: 2-3 years

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Global Technical Support Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our systems, requiring candidates to work in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Linux, AWS Cloud, MS Azure Cloud, JIRA, server, and network administration and maintenance. Knowledge of Elasticsearch and MySQL is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Administration:
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux servers and cloud environments (AWS and MS Azure).
  • Ensure system performance and reliability through effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Cloud Management:
  • Implement, configure, and manage cloud services on AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide 24/7 technical support for production tools, legacy systems, and new age platforms.
  • Handle incidents, requests, and issues through JIRA service desk.
  • Network Administration:
  • Administer and maintain network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and security.
  • Perform regular network performance assessments and implement improvements as needed.
  • Monitoring and Alerts:
  • Set up and maintain monitoring systems to capture important alerts and minimize false alarms.
  • Ensure timely communication and resolution of critical issues, particularly during night shifts.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with engineering teams to enhance technical capabilities and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure effective communication during P1/P2 incidents to mitigate larger impacts on operations.

Who you are:

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in systems administration and technical support.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and MS Azure Cloud services.
  • Proficiency in server and network administration and maintenance.
  • Experience with JIRA service desk for issue management and tracking.

Good to Know:

  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch and MySQL.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rotational shift environment.
