Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Research Associate with expertise in formulation to join ORIC’s Discovery team. The successful candidate will support ORIC’s existing drug discovery programs. Also, this person will play a key role in impacting the drug discovery process by working as part of an interdisciplinary team of experienced scientists. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, highly organized, focused and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
- Design and execution of pre-formulation studies to determine the chemical and physical properties of our small molecule drug candidates.
- Design and execution of formulation screening studies to identify oral formulations for our drug products.
- Collaborate with the Discovery Research group to identify and prepare preclinical formulations in a timely fashion.
- Provide detailed formulation instructions and stability data to facilitate formulation preparation at contract research facilities.
- Provide efficient laboratory support by ordering supplies, maintenance of laboratory equipment, and routine set up and execution of analytical testing.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience working in a laboratory with analytical instrumentation, preferably with previous experience in pre-formulation and formulation development.
- Experience with HPLC in the development of analytical methods for the analysis and characterization of small molecule samples is a plus.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Enjoy working with others in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Self-motivated and organized, enjoy scientific investigation and thinks proactively to identify issues and develop solutions.
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in our South San Francisco location is between $35-$45 per hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the title, type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
