  • Sport Science Integration:
    • Incorporate principles of sports science, including biomechanics, physiology, and motor control, into all aspects of assessment, treatment, and performance enhancement.
    • Utilize data-driven approaches to track athlete progress, analyze performance metrics, and inform rehabilitation strategies.

  • Documentation & Communication:
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with athletes, parents, coaches, physicians, and other members of the sports medicine team.
    • Participate in team meetings and case conferences as required.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Ability to apply and gain a Physical Therapy license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly with elite or high-level athletes, with a strong preference for experience with basketball players.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sport science principles as applied to athletic performance and injury prevention/rehabilitation.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing return-to-play criteria and protocols for high-performance athletes, particularly in dynamic, multi-directional sports like basketball.
  • Advanced clinical skills in athletically related rehabilitation, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training for sport-specific demands.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or other relevant certifications (e.g., SCS, OCS, ATC) highly preferred.
