JOB SUMMARY

This position serves as a Global Compliance Officer in the Immunology Franchise of the Global Specialty Care business. This position will also assist with Ethics and Business Integrity (EBI) support for enabling functions within Global Specialty Care such as needed as well as partner on other strategic local and global Ethics and Business Integrity projects as assigned.

Serving as a strategic business partner and driver of positive compliance culture, this leadership position works closely with both the Immunology commercial and medical leadership on various compliance initiatives. The Compliance Officer also serves, along with the Company’s anonymous reporting process/Helpline, as the initial point of contact for colleagues on compliance related concerns within his/her area of responsibility. This Compliance Officer works collaboratively with other department members including Compliance Monitoring, Policies/Communications and Investigations as needed as well as with peers from other Therapeutic areas within US and Global Specialty Care as well as with Global Compliance to thoroughly and consistently address topics pertaining to local and global Ethics & Business Integrity. This position also works with members of the Legal Department, Human Resources, Field Operations, Transparency, Finance and other functional and business areas and outside resources to ensure that all appropriate controls are maintained.

This senior Compliance Officer Role also partners with its peer Compliance Officers in North America Immunology and other peer Compliance officers/team members and business colleagues to ensure robust compliance governance and ethical practices across the company. This individual also routinely leads reporting to senior management at Compliance meetings and company leadership meetings as needed and develops and advises on any needed compliance remediation strategies throughout the year. Finally, this role exercises independent judgment in assessing compliance-related matters and supporting the business and provides strategic oversight of all elements of the Company’s compliance program and reports to the Global Head of EBI for Specialty Care.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and senior management of all elements of the Company’s compliance program

  • Work collaboratively with members of the US and Global Compliance Department as well as other functional and business areas within the Company to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to satisfy all local and global government requirements including the requirements of the company’s Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) obligations.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the NA Compliance Officer, Head Compliance Officer for US Specialty Care and other management are informed of key risks and topics identified as a result of Helpline inquiries, monitoring program results and day-to-day oversight of the compliance program.

  • On behalf of the Head Compliance Officer for Global Specialty Care, co-leads the necessary reporting in their areas of responsibility at Global Compliance Committee Meetings.

  • Participate or lead special projects, acting as a catalyst for corporate initiatives in the NA/Global E&BI Organization, and lead and oversee projects as necessary, such as business process improvement efforts.

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead change in a large, matrixed organization

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of combined pharmaceutical/healthcare experience required

  • Advanced degrees in relevant areas preferred, i.e. JD, Compliance experience preferred

  • Experience assessing Fraud and Abuse risk and problem solving in a risk-based, practical way

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Excellent written oral and presentation skills required
