Our Team:

The role is part of the Finance Operations & Transformation organization, a high performing team centered on Finance transformation with the objective to become a best-in-class Finance organization, by delivering efficient and lean processes, improved tools to support better decision making and strengthening on focus and expertise. This will enable Finance Business Partners to focus on finance performance and resource allocation supported by Global Centers of Excellence and Regional Finance Operations teams to deliver Opex, Gross to Net, and Industrial Affairs activities.

The Country Cluster Transversa Manufacturing & Supply Financial Analyst will drive consistency and standardization for the Costing management across the geography and functions in collaboration with other Controllers. This person will develop partnerships with the Finance Business Partners, other Controllers as well as with the Budget Owners to drive results and control forecasts and budgets. He/She creates a positive and supporting atmosphere for the team and neighboring functions as we work together to strengthen the finance partnership with the business.

This role is part of the Costing Center of Excellence (COE) within the Finance Operations and Transformation team. This person will help to identify and implement new ways of working as we transform the way Sanofi controls Costing operations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive M&S Costing implementation plan, together with Head of M&S COE & Finance Operations, within agreed timelines

  • Support construction and be part of a high functioning, diverse team with the capabilities to harmonize and mutualize the operational tasks to provide best in class service

  • Design effective interaction model and ways of working with Site Finance Manufacturing Business Partners to provide high quality budget, forecasts, actuals etc.

  • Partner with M&S Finance Business Partner to drive sustainable improvements in COGS management KPI

  • Leverage Finance tools, processes, and controls to drive simplification, standardization for COGS across manufacturing sites

  • Continuously challenge legacy ways of working, status quo, identify gaps, and recommend new ways of working – focus on best practices

  • Ownership to resolve any gaps proposing workarounds and local adaptations

  • Partner with the global IFSA to ensure Group Component Transfer Prices are well established for all manufacturing sites.

  • Manage inventory reconciliation process and ensure proper investigation/ resolution in place.

  • Ensure Industrial standard Cost is calculated in compliance with Group Methods & procedures.

  • Ongoing process improvement and innovation partnering with key internal stakeholders to design, build and implement more efficient financial operation processes, including monthly closing and reporting processes.

  • Key Finance representative influencing A2R core model – design and update ways of working with A2R function transferring accounting work from Finance wherever possible

  • Partner with One Finance Experience to develop an environment of learning and the development of the Finance talent for the future

About you

  • Experience:

    • +3 years of diversified financial/accounting experience

  • Soft skills:

  • Technical skills:

    • Advanced excel skills

    • Capable of working in multiple systems and tools

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Highly capable working in multiple systems and tools

    • Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders

    • Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA

    • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail

    • Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics is required

  • Preferred:

    • Commercial Finance

    • Experience in iShift and TM1

    • MBA and/or CPA

    • Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience

    • Pharmaceutical industry experience

    • TM1 and SAP experience

  • Specific Requirements

    • English: B2 or better

    • Portuguese is a plus
