The Deputy Director, Commercial Training – Vaccines/US reports to the Director, Commercial Training, Vaccines/US. This role will be accountable for strategic planning and implementation of world class product training and product launches for the Pediatric Product Portfolio including RSV. This position will be responsible for the development, facilitation, and effectiveness reviews of Product and Skill Development Training to our Field Sales Teams through collaboration with Marketing, Field Sales, and other Commercial Training counterparts. Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset this position will assess current programs for additional adult learning opportunities as well as increased technology use to drive engagement with the field.
Main responsibilities:
Use in-depth knowledge of current marketplace to steer the development and improvement of training processes, systems and programs that are critical to meeting business objectives for the entire Field Sales Team.
Actively partner with project teams to provide robust training focused on Adult Learning Principles.
Support Marketing strategy implementation to train/develop Field Sales personnel through national/regional training sessions, field contact sessions and new hire STEP as well as remote/virtual training sessions.
Utilize a proven effectiveness checking system to measure training sessions to the most appropriate level.
Work with the Commercial Training Director to establish and implement key metrics to track and communicate level of value and impact of training and development initiatives to all stakeholders.
Identify gaps in skills and knowledge within the existing Field Sales organization and make strategic and innovative recommendations for introducing, revising, or removing training.
Assess all current training programs and provide recommendations for improved Adult Learning techniques and increased technology use for the development, facilitation, and effectiveness checks.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum 7 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech/vaccine industry experience
Experience in Creating or at least supporting the creation of Marketing messages to increase field proficiency for Branded Content
Experience in Learning and Development and Adult Education Methods
Proven communication skills with a well-developed ability to efficiently and productively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Applications for use in Training Development, Facilitation, and Effectiveness Reviews including but not limited to TEAMs and PowerPoint
Training / Workshop facilitation skills and background
Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities including budgeting and actual spend against budget is required
Outstanding organizational skills, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities
Strong interpersonal skills (with demonstrated stakeholder management, conflict management / resolution in group dynamic)
Certified in Instructional Design preferred
Demonstrated experience in additional training/video creation software preferred
People management and or demonstrated coaching experience preferred
Functional knowledge of value-based healthcare and healthcare industry trends preferred
Have consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of Large Organized Customer needs preferred
Hybrid work environment of 2-3 days per week in the office in Bridgewater, NJ
20% travel requirement
