Our Team and Context :
We see the consumer healthcare market intensifying in competition, with the rise of vocal new & global pure players, moving away from what was previously viewed as “big pharma” space. Simultaneously Sanofi Consumer Healthcare Global Business Unit (Sanofi CHC GBU) is building its full carve-in standalone within Sanofi and is refining its unique positioning vs. other consumer healthcare players. In this context we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Strategy Director/Lead, to join our team specifically dedicated to Sanofi’s Consumer healthcare GBU strategy, its growth story and relationship with corporate external partners.
Main Responsibilities :
Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, BD & Alliance management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of Sanofi CHC Business unit, you will be responsible for spearheading ad hoc strategic initiatives, and identifying growth opportunities that will strengthen our market position and drive sustainable success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory. This position is highly connecting with all parts of the organization, and in particular with global finance, Sanofi Group M&A, global communication, as well as global public affairs, as well as all functions of the division.
Sanofi CHC Growth Story & Rationale: To strengthen Sanofi's growth ambitions, work collaboratively with the Finance, Communication, Growth Hub, and Investor Relations departments to develop and reinforce insights. Additionally, provide guidance on the potential impacts on how brands can create their own sustainable growth models.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with the Finance team to develop and refine the company's overall corporate strategy, long-term objectives, and business goals. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategies across departments and facilitate their cohesive implementation at a high level.
Performance Management: Define key performance indicators and regularly monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives. Recommend and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Specific Strategic Initiatives: Effectively translate insights into tangible impact by engaging internal and external stakeholders in the right strategic directions to make them a reality.
Strategic Vision: With 6-10 years of experience in consumer goods brand strategies and/or corporate strategy, ideally gained from a top-tier consulting firm such as Bain, BCG, McKinsey, or equivalent, you bring a proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies that foster growth and deliver tangible results in the FMCG industry. Your understanding of how brands establish repeatable growth models is a key asset.. (FMCG and consulting experience is mandatory).
Market & Business Acumen: You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to decipher complex market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions with confidence.
Financial Acumen: You are proficient in financial modeling and analysis, with the capability to assess business opportunities from a financial perspective.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management: You have demonstrated leadership skills, showing the ability to promote collaboration and enhance team performance while engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Communication and Influencing Skills: Your communication skills are excellent, both in verbal and written forms. You are proficient in crafting corporate or financial presentations that can effectively influence high-level internal and external stakeholders. You possess the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and understandable manner.
Education : A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required, and having an MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
