Main responsibilities
The job corresponds to a new position, created in the frame of the autonomy roadmap of the CHC GBU. Under the authority of the Chief Accounting Officer & Head of GBS, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Head of Consolidation, Group Reporting & Norms (about 10 HC). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial data from approximately 50 entities within the customer healthcare organization, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Financial Consolidation:
- Lead the reporting and consolidation process and in particular the relationships with CHC CFO, Finance Leadership Team, Heads of Finance Performance, Heads of Finance Operations and Global Business Services teams, provide specific instructions to the entities and conduct training sessions.
- Supervise the analyses of the financial data reported by the entities.
- Coordinate with finance teams and GBS to gather accurate and timely financial data.
- Design and follow-up the application of the appropriate reporting of changes in scope such as business combinations / assets deals / alliances, mergers / liquidations, divestments.
- Lead integration projects of new entities in case of acquisitions and divestments.
- Coordinate some activities supporting the consolidation process and contribute to finance projects.
2. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure the appropriate treatment is applied for complex and/or significant operations including M&A deals, as a support to local affiliates or other global departments.
- Review entries managed at consolidation level such as elimination and translation rules, or share based payments, employee benefits, at equity method or fair-value related entries.
- Maintain and design fit for purpose CHC Group Accounting Guidelines once fully autonomous.
- Leverage expertise in IFRS & accounting standards to guide the application and interpretation of financial reporting requirements and issue key technical positions.
- Prepare and review financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address audit queries.
- Supervision and validation of Legal Restructuring Forms across team.
3. Disclosure Management:
- Lead & manage the preparation of financial disclosures in accordance with regulatory guidelines to be shared with Autorité des Marchés Financiers (French Market Authorities).
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments.
- Liaise with other departments in Finance group for their specific inputs (controlling, treasury and tax) and with Business groups.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate and transparent financial disclosures.
4. Audit
- Act as the primary liaison with the Audit Committee, providing clear and concise financial updates.
- Prepare and present financial reports and findings to the Audit Committee, addressing any concerns or queries.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with committee members to ensure effective oversight
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
5. System Strategy and Evolution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive system strategy for consolidation and reporting, aligning with organizational goals and best practices.
- Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and enhancement.
- Lead the implementation of system upgrades or replacements (SAP BFC), ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximizing efficiency.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in financial reporting systems, recommending innovations to drive continuous improvement.
6. Manager and Business partner
- Manage the Consolidation team:
- Recruit high skilled resources, promote and strongly develop talents (expertise and leadership)
- Coach, train and develop in promoting the financial teams
- As a proactive business partner, forge strategic alliances with finance and business teams facilitating communication, offering financial insights and actively contributing to decision-making processes
About you
Hard Skills
- CPA or relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in financial consolidation, reporting, and disclosure management.
- In-depth expertise in accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and their practical application.
- Excellent understanding of audit processes and experience liaising with audit committees.
- Highly specialized knowledge of tax techniques and consolidation tools (SAP BFC...);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Languages
- Fluent in English & French.
