About the Team
The Plasmid and SUT Raw Material Planner is responsible from Strategic roadmap thru planning and procurement activities for all incoming pDNA and Single Used required on multiple production sites such as Marcy l’étoile/FR, Waltham/US, Wacker/NL, EVF Neuville/FR and other sites regarding on going strategies.
In the scope of his mission, he will manage more that 350 references while challenging procurement issues in a competitive environment with long procurement lead time. In that context he will be in charge to define the procurement strategy, define double sourcing and back-up. To allow flexibility and cost efficiency, he will be in charge to standardize the SUT used across COE organization.
This includes also to manage operations level thru analyzing material requirements, purchase order placement, order expediting, and issue resolution.
This role will also be responsible for the distribution and inventory management activities for all plasmids andSUT materials required for all internal and external manufacturing of drug substance, bulk drug product and fill/finish operations. This role will work closely with Marcy l’étoile/FR logistics coordinator, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Science & External Vendor Management teams and will coordinate all shipping activities required to support internal and external manufacturing. He/she will deliver better inventory handling controls and accuracy across all storage locations, implement third party warehousing/logistics strategy for the company, and build the needed audit and reporting infrastructure to ensure the work process is functioning compliantly and efficiently.
A key dimension is to define data collection required to support vendor and material qualification activities and future ERP implementations. The applicant will also define, build and present global SUT scorecard (PowerBI) for LT COE reporting.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Accountable for the development and implementation of SUT Supply strategies and material requirements and procurement plans to support Center of Excellence production plans.
- Accountable of pDNA D&OP process, related to the COE demands, balancing workload between internal and external sites, Inventory management and Allocation
- Accountable for plasmids and SUT Budget and Strat Plan related in coordination with manufacturing, CMC and Research & Biomarker departments.
- Accountable and responsible for strategic to tactical planning and related procurement plans for all GmP facilities.
- Creates, issues, and confirms direct and indirect purchase orders using company system in accordance with purchasing policies and governance.
- Reconcile receiving, quality and invoice issues.
- Lead vendor management meetings to coordinate required activities to ensure timely delivery and release of raw materials. Establishes and maintains effective supplier relationships.
- Maintains close working cross functional relationships with Quality, Finance, AP and business partners.
- In relation with VIA and other Sanofi entities develop a SUT network to create robustness and back-up opportunity.
- Manage the internal requirements for supplier and vendor qualification is a key role of the position. Specifications, quality, delivery, cost requirements need to be supported and managed.
- Develop and deploy a standardized inventory handling and control process across all storage locations to ensure inventory and location accuracy, with measures, expected targets and measurement frequency
- Work with internal manufacturing teams to identify upcoming material requirements and coordinate shipment and delivery activities to ensure material availability.
- Create and maintain required SOP and/or Work instructions related to SUT management
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry (i.e., supply chain expertise)
- Experience in multi-site-operations and cultures, global projects, and matrix management,
- A strong relationship builder at all levels both internally and externally. Intercultural keys & Fluent in English
- Experience in GMP raw material Management and in negotiations with external Partners /Supplier
- Scientific/ technical and personal credibility through background in operations or project management
- Cooperate transversally / Think strategically / Strive for results /Strong leaderships of transversal teams Possesses a proactive and customer service-oriented mindset
- Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerBI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and skills
