To facilitate this transformation, a new Business Operations Business Unit is being established, bringing together existing business service activities, and driving further expansion of centralized services at scale into a global unit, with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity.

This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture.

About the job

Reporting to the Head of Insights & Productivity, the Head of Performance Analytics and Reporting plays a critical role in formulating and implementing a thorough performance analytics strategy, supervising a team of data analysts and reporting professionals to foster continuous improvement and enhance stakeholder collaboration. Moreover, the role underscores the importance of staying abreast of advancements in analytics and actively promoting the integration of state-of-the-art technologies to elevate performance tracking and reporting capabilities.

Main responsibilities

  • Performance Analytics Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive performance analytics strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of Procurement Services. Drive the design, development, and execution of advanced analytics for tracking and monitoring Procurement and Procurement Services performance.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of business insights, performance analytics, and reporting using custom, predictive, and prescriptive analytical techniques.

  • Drive a data roadmap to identify data needs across the organization and how to improve and maintain data quality for enhanced reporting capabilities.

  • Understand data landscape and data interdependencies, business needs, and how and where to apply which data tools.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Procurement & Procurement Services.

  • Coordinate data & reporting resources to ensure ad-hoc needs from Procurement and the Business are answered in a timely manner.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in performance analytics processes and procedures through the adoption of standard global process ownership and lead frameworks. Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, efficiency, and the overall effectiveness of performance tracking.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Business Unit leaders. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand performance-related business needs and align analytics strategies accordingly.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of performance analytics professionals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and innovation. Provide feedback and guidance to team members to support individual and team-level goals and objectives.

  • Innovation and Technology Adoption: Stay current on developments in performance analytics, data science, and emerging technologies. Drive the adoption of innovative analytics tools and technologies to enhance performance tracking and reporting capabilities.

About you

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in complex, global transformations, strategy, operations and/or consulting

  • Experience in healthcare and/or life-science industry.

  • Global or international experience and ability to work with a diverse team

Soft and technical skills:

  • Strong technical skills with a specific focus on big data, advanced analytics, insights, process automation, AI and reporting.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective collaborator with strong trust-building and influencing skills.

  • Strong quality control / assessment and risk assessment skills.

  • Ability to think strategically, innovate, and execute a plan.

  • Results-oriented with strong analytics skills; ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and intellectual curiosity.

  • Developed business partnering, collaboration, and interpersonal skills required.

Education:

  • A BA/BS or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business discipline.

Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
