As the Market Access & Pricing, your purpose is to develop and execute market access strategies aligned with organizational goals and Play to Win principles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, generate and analyze data, and support the implementation of MAP & Contracting, Payer Strategies & stakeholder engagement plans.

Your role is pivotal in representing local needs and opportunities, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the team, and supporting key Market Access Strategic Projects both locally and globally. By leveraging your expertise and collaborative approach, you will play a vital role in maximizing the access and affordability of Sanofi products throughout their lifecycle, ultimately improving patient access to our drugs.

This role might work in close collaboration with the HEOR & pricing team and with other functions, to ensure robust and innovative projects to secure National and Regional access.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

LEAD MARKET ACCESS STRATEGY AND PLAN

  • Conduct access and pricing landscape analysis. Identify trends in health policies and environment with potential impact on pricing, reimbursement, formulary listing and value assessment, and co-shape local strategic access plan and capabilities.
  • Develop and execute Market Access strategies (Value & Access + Pricing) and plan for assigned portfolio in alignment with business priorities from early phases to launch and throughout the lifecycle. This includes the optimization of reimbursement guidelines and management of price challenges of key products.
  • Ensures that Market Access and payer marketing actions/deliverables/tools for key products to support pricing and market access, including reimbursement, hospital enlisting, etc.
    • Collect early payers’ insights (Adboards, consultancies, Mocks)
    • Engagement payers´ projects
    • Develop Payer´s materials: Develop Value Story Proposition and Local Value Dossier.
    • Ensure strategic input on the development of Economical models and tools.
    • In charge of country-level the payer training and education.
  • Secure appropriate budget to implement the Market Access activities.

EVIDENCE GENERATION AND RWE studies at local level that demonstrates the value of Sanofi products and ensures optimal access for patients: ITCs, RWE studies, Epi studies, HRCUs studies, MCDA, etc

  • Conduct gap analyses to support the development of an integrated evidence generation plan. Provide input into global evidence generation projects to ensure outputs will meet local health authority’s needs.
  • Lead local studies (the study design, guarantee review and approval of study, manage and follow-up study results and publications)

STAKEHOLDERS´ ENGAGEMENT

  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders for market access to ensure the Market Access strategy at the national level
  • Create, maintain partnerships and work proactively with decision-makers, payers, government institutions (AEMPS, MoH), industry associations (when relevant) in order to shape the environment through health economics, HTA and innovative access to improve access environment.
  • Lead and develop a comprehensive Engagement Plan at different access levels (National, Regional and hospital)

SUBMISSIONS FOR NEW PRODUCTS AND NEW INDICATIONS to health authorities to support registration, pricing, and reimbursement decisions across Sanofi portfolio (Specialty Care, General Medicines and Vaccines)

  • Develop and execute negotiation strategy with price rationales and contracting.
  • Develop submission to health authorities for new products and new indications.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of local HTA guidelines and processes and keep abreast of HTA developments to ensure that the most suitable methods are employed

Ensure communication with our authorities throughout the process. Including interactions with global and our authorities during JCA.

  • Project manage the submission and response process and ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of progress (internal and external).
  • Ensure strategic input in early access programs

COLLABORATES WITH LOCAL AND GLOBAL TEAMS

  • Collaborate with Business Units, & other functions such as regulatory, commercial, Medical, Public Affairs, Communications and Patient Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs to execute the market access strategy
  • Ensures the adaptation and implementation of the global market access and Pricing strategy, plans, and tactics at the country level. Provide input in to Glocal strategy.
  • Provides inputs into product forecasts, including strategic, operational, and financial forecasting.
  • Work closely alongside medical teams, field-based colleagues and the Global Market access team in developing/evolving the evidence base/value messages for products to meet the needs of the local market.
  • Provides strong leadership and guidance to internal and external cross-functional stakeholders in the areas of patient access, healthcare policy, and pricing. Identify and communicate evolutions and trends in health care environment with potential impact on pricing, reimbursement, formulary listing and value assessment, and co-shape local strategic access plans and capabilities.

Deploy the Market Access strategy and train Regional Access team.


About you

  • You have strong strategic and leadership skills as well as analytical skills to translate clinical information and messages into payer evidence strategies.
  • You have experience deep first-hand market access experience, ideally in Spain and / or at a global level
  • You have strong understanding of the evolution of the market access landscape and implications for the business
  • You have strong experience in all elements of market access strategy and execution across the life cycle from pre-launch to post launch in novel and established therapeutic areas
  • You have an outstanding leadership, inspiring cross-functional teams
  • You have strong drive for results with proactive and result-oriented mindset.
  • You have a flexible perspective to delve into details when necessary and zoom out for a broader strategic view when required.
  • You have a strong track record in building effective Global-Local working relationships with strong communication skills.
  • You are a role model of PTW behaviours.
  • You are fluent in English.
