Tixologi is seeking a talented senior engineer with a desire to make a big impact at the early stages of a blockchain startup.

We are looking for an enthusiastic problem solver, excited to use their technical skills to implement innovative technology and progress our core products. We are seeking a well-rounded software engineer with 3+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining server-side software applications. This person will be responsible for implementing and managing the backend software supporting our suite of products. They will work closely with React/javascript developers to bring the software to full functionality.

As an early engineering hire of a technology startup, this person will work closely with our founders to make key decisions on technical designs and infrastructure, serving an integral role in the growth and development of our groundbreaking technologies. This engineer will also have the opportunity to enhance their blockchain knowledge and development skills, working closely with our CTO, who has a wealth of blockchain experience (10 years) to teach. As the startup grows, we see this engineer having the opportunity to lead their own team.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain server-side software applications in Go to support our suite of products
• Deploy and manage cloud-based applications in Google Cloud Platform
• Design creative and innovative solutions for a wide range of technical developments
• Work closely with the CTO to design and plan the current and future infrastructure, including blockchain software
• Work closely with other developers, taking a leading role in efficiently communicating, implementing and optimizing the full functionality of our products

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience developing server-side software in one of the following (or similar): Go (preferred), C++, Java, Python (Django/Flask)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical parties
• Understanding of HTTP and socket programming
• Understanding of relational database systems (such as MySQL)
• Experience with Linux container technology (such as Docker)
• Experience with scalable cloud-based applications (GCP preferred)
• Experience using version control systems (such as Git)
• Experience running software in a Linux environment
• Experience with scripting languages (such as Bash, PHP, or Python)
• Familiarity with the concepts of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD)
• Basic understanding of blockchain technology (development experience a plus)

Tixologi is disrupting the outdated ticketing industry, putting event organizers in control of their own ticketing experience. We’re building a blockchain-based ticketing software that will allow event producers, teams and venues to take back control of their ticketing, leading to increased revenue on primary sales and ownership of the secondary market.
