Riverview is a large independent ACF registered full-service restaurant & bar located on the Delaware river, in the historic district of Burlington, New Jersey. In addition to dining and bar shifts we also are a favorite special events venue and have private event and outdoor event spaces. We are open Tuesday through Saturday with service from 4pm to 10pm and Sunday from 12-7pm. We offer employee discount for all employees.

We are a busy dining and event venue, a community and regional favorite, with a strong bar business and dedicated bar area in addition to our dining room and outdoor area weather permitting.. We are looking for outgoing bartenders with good interpersonal skills to join our team. You must be reliable, a team player and have a strong work ethic.

BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide a great bar experience for our guests
• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails
• Process payment from customers
• Clean glasses and bar utensils
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
• Respond promptly and courteously to correct any guest concerns about service or quality.
• Ensure bar is presentable and ready for guests at all times, perform side work as required or ensure side-work is done.
• Attend scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
• Complete opening or closing tasks as required by shift.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous bar experience required
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver bar items and supplies
• expertise with POS systems, facility with numbers
