Sister restaurant to 2 Michelin starred n/naka, n/soto is a new Japanese izakaya concept led by chefs Niki Nakayama, Carole Iida-Nakayama, and Yoji Tajima.

We are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Bartender who has a passion for hospitality and has exemplary leadership and customer relationship skills. The Bartender will help to maintain the bar program and uphold our service and beverage standards.

Responsibilities

• Uphold service and beverage standards during shifts to lead by example
• Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
• Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service.
• Adhere to all company service standards and protocols.
• Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
• Engage management for any guest issue or complaints
• Help to develop seasonal beverage offerings in line with existing program
• Support team with beverage service to all dining room areas
• Stocking and preparing bar service related items

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and team building skills
• Exceptional service skills, food and beverage knowledge required
• Passion for customer service and hospitality
• Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability
• Extremely responsible, self motivated, thrives in hands-on environment
• Ability to work in an organized and professional manner
