The Operating Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Mango Mango Dessert store, ensuring smooth service for both dine-in and take-out customers. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality. The Operating Manager will manage staff, maintain operational standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across Mango Mango’s signature dessert categories: classic desserts, pastries, sundaes, smoothies, boba milk tea, fruit teas, and hot teas.
The manager will be required to successfully complete initial 3-week immersive Mango Mango training in New York before being certified to manage the store.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
- Ensure efficient service for dine-in and take-out customers.
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain brand standards.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and schedule staff members.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Customer Experience
- Ensure guests receive high-quality service and products.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve issues promptly.
- Promote Mango Mango’s vibrant brand identity and dessert offerings.
- Financial & Inventory Oversight
- Manage daily cash handling, deposits, and sales reporting.
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.
- Track labor and food costs to meet budget goals.
- Compliance & Safety
- Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of store operations.

- Proven experience in food service or retail management (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control, scheduling, and financial reporting.
