REPORTS TO: Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Managers, Supervisors

JOB SUMMARY:

To maintain cleanliness, appearance and safety standards of all Farmshop facility and equipment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the culture, values and mission of Farmshop.
  • Contribute to create a culture and work environment based upon respect.
  • Maintain a workstation that is clean and organized and is cohesive with Farmshop philosophy, and standards of excellence.
  • Operate within the restaurant on a daily basis with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy and initiative.
  • Understand the philosophy of Farmshop. Consistent attention to detail and follow through of all Farmshop policies.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection.
  • Complete assigned duties in an efficient and timely manner on a daily basis as determined by the Pastry Chef and Production Managers.
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
  • Know and comply consistently with Farmshop rules, policies and procedures as well as with Health Department guidelines.
  • Maintain a hygienic and safe environment in the kitchen at all times.
  • Report the breakage, loss or theft of any restaurant property.

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a kitchen position.
  • High School Diploma preffered.
  • Be able to understand and communicate in English.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (8- 12 hours a day).
  • Effective oral communication skills and the ability to work as a team player.
  • Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, good posture and have required uniform.
  • Must display the ethical and professional standards set forth by Farmshop.
  • Must have the stamina to work up to 40 hours per week.
