Entelligence's mission is nothing short of building the intelligence layer for engineering: the platform that takes ownership of code when no human can. We're starting by giving engineering leaders one place to see how their org actually ships, and ranking #1 against every leading AI reviewer. If you're into high-quality engineering systems and next-level infrastructure at a large scale, read on!

We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (US) to join our small team of people and build the foundations of Entelligence.ai.Apply here : ‣

Why join

As a small team, we work in a highly collaborative environment and you'll have the opportunity to participate in every part of the business from idea to production.

Impact: Build the foundation and shape engineering practices, team, and company culture.

Excellence: Practice your craft with other ICs in a well-organized, fast-paced environment.

Ownership: Influence the direction of product and strategy, we care about your opinions.

What you'll do

We're looking for an experienced forward deployed engineer who enjoys sitting shoulder to shoulder with customers, shipping fast, and turning real-world feedback into product. You'll be the bridge between Entelligence and the engineering teams using Ellie in production.

  • Own customer outcomes end to end. From the first technical conversation to live deployment to expansion, you'll be the engineer customers trust to make Ellie work inside their org. You'll write code, configure integrations, debug edge cases in their environment, and stay close until the product is genuinely loved.
  • Deploy into the messiest codebases on earth. You'll get hands-on with customer monorepos, weird CI setups, custom GitHub Enterprise configs, locked-down VPCs, self-hosted GitLab, and ten-year-old build systems. Your job is to make Ellie ship value on day one, regardless of how the customer's stack looks.
  • Build the integrations and tooling that unblock deals. When a customer needs a Jira bridge, a custom Slack workflow, a new CLI flag, or a one-off connector, you'll build it. Frontend is React, backend is Node/Express and TypeScript, with Python services where models live. You ship the change, you push it, you watch it land.
  • Be the fastest feedback loop into the product team. You'll be in customer Slack channels, on calls with their staff engineers, and in their PRs. The patterns you see become the roadmap. You'll write up insights, file issues, and often just open the PR yourself.
  • Run technical evaluations and POCs that win. Lead hands-on pilots with prospective customers, scope them tightly, and drive them to a clear decision. You know how to make a POC feel like production.
  • Self-direct your work and co-own the product. You're a technical-founder type and will have autonomy and responsibility. You'll shape the roadmap and own how Entelligence shows up at every customer as we go from #1 on a benchmark to the default reviewer for engineering teams.
  • Solve interesting technical problems. Bring your full creativity to super-challenging work: semantic indexing of huge customer repos, low-latency review pipelines on enterprise infra, sync between IDE / GitHub / Slack state, and post-mortem feedback loops that improve future reviews.
  • What we're looking for

You're an IC who has been a forward deployed engineer before and this is not an area you have to ramp up on. We don't require any formal qualifications but value learning new skills, especially from one another. We are looking for someone who feels a sense of duty to the users of their work.

  • At least 2 years as a Forward Deployed Engineer at a fast-paced startup. You've owned customer deployments end to end, written real production code inside customer environments, and have the scars to prove it.
  • Background in the developer tools domain. You've worked on or alongside products that engineers use every day, such as code review, CI/CD, observability, IDEs, or developer platforms. You speak the language of the people you're shipping to.
  • Highly productive while producing quality code. You enjoy pushing out features in a pragmatic and maintainable way. You know when to use duct tape and when to lay a foundation.
  • Comfort being customer facing. You can run a technical call, scope a POC on the fly, push back on a bad ask, and write a follow-up that closes loops. You enjoy this part of the job, you don't tolerate it.
  • Attention to detail while pragmatic. We strive for few slips in code, Git hygiene, and clear written communication, all while remaining low-ego and simply focusing on solutions.
  • Interested in productivity apps/systems. You might use your calendar to time block, try out new tools, or self-optimize in other ways.
  • Good heart. We don't tolerate jerks and are generally just friendly people.
