Fora is a mission-driven company that believes in the power of entrepreneurship, community, and passion. As we continue to grow, we are looking for more talented and like-minded individuals to join our team - people who are excited about transforming the travel space and helping us scale our vision globally.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow our community of Fora Advisors. You’ll be on the front lines connecting with people who want to become travel advisors—qualifying and converting inbound leads and running smart outbound campaigns to reach potential advisors who haven’t yet discovered Fora.

This is a great opportunity for someone excited to learn sales fundamentals in a mission-driven and fast-paced startup. You’ll work closely with our Growth team to drive new user acquisition, manage your pipeline, and consistently hit growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Do

    • Qualify and engage inbound leads: Identify leads with a high potential to be successful with Fora, engaging them quickly via email and phone to address questions and motivate them to apply and join.
    • Run outbound outreach: Identify prospects in high-potential audiences (e.g., professional planners) and engage them through personalized emails, LinkedIn messages, and other channels.
    • Own your pipeline: Manage daily lead follow-up and CRM updates in HubSpot with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Hit and exceed targets: Consistently meet weekly and monthly goals for outreach activity, lead nurture, and advisor signups.
    • Partner with Marketing: Share insights on lead quality, common questions and objections, and creative messaging opportunities for better conversion.
    • Test and iterate: Experiment with messaging, timing, and sequencing to improve connect and conversion rates.
    • Support operational excellence: Together with Sales Ops and product, help optimize workflows, reporting, and automations to improve conversion rates and reduce manual work.

    Who You Are

    • A persuasive communicator who loves people and connecting with them.
    • Mission-aligned to our work empowering entrepreneurs.
    • Energized by hitting (and beating!) goals and metrics.
    • Organized, persistent, and motivated to follow up until you get an answer.
    • Passionate about travel—it’s a plus if you’re the travel planner of your group (or a Fora advisor yourself!)
    • Comfortable with tools like HubSpot, Google Sheets, or similar CRMs and data platforms (or excited to learn them).
    • A team player who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where we are building a company together.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, rev ops, customer success, marketing, or hospitality (note: we are open to more experienced candidates - if that's you, please feel free to apply!)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort using email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels for outreach.
  • Experience with HubSpot or another CRM is a plus but not required.

Compensation

Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $60k–$90k + bonus + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we’re considering multiple levels for this role.

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Health Insurance (including an option completely covered by Fora HQ)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Wellhub Memberships
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Stock Options

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca/Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.
