Job Description
The Global Network Operations organization is seeking an Expert Network Operations Engineer to provide subject matter expertise in support of the Experian Global Network which spans all business units and regions. This role will immediately contribute to several large global programs, including hardware/software lifecycle management, establishing tools and processes to ensure environment is following established standards, establishing new standard OOB solution and more. The role will also work closely with Tier1 support, security, engineering, and operational teams to maintain a resilient and secure network infrastructure to adhere to stringent Regulatory, Governmental, and Industry security control requirements. Additionally, this role will help us establish an efficient, agile, and high performing operations team that continues to delight our customers by providing world class service.
Position Functions:
At least 5+ years of practical experience, (deployment, configuration, management, and support), working with various network and security control technologies.
Support the following platforms Incapsula Web Application Firewall (WAF), Imperva Cloud Web Application Firewall, SecureSphere (Hardware WAF), McAfee/Trellix Intrusion prevention systems, Checkpoint or Fortinet Firewalls, Skyhigh on premise and Cloud Web Gateways.
Manage the network and security systems within a global multi-region, multi-tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, & etc.) and on premises environment. Includes McAfee and Checkpoint IPS appliances, Incapsula WAFs and more.
Able to use Python to reduce manual workloads and reduce repetitive tasks
Provide direct support, including after hours for the global network as needed
Test and evaluate network systems and processes to eliminate problems and make improvements
Provide engineering expertise in identification of process improvement and automation opportunities
Convey technical information/solutions to different audiences
Consult and interview stakeholders to resolve highly technical requirements
Research, evaluate and stay ahead of curve on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies
Maintain deep current technical knowledge of Network and Cloud technologies
Qualifications
Requirements:
Batchelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field
5+ years of validated experience in managing and provisioning network security technologies in a large globally environment
Expert-level hands-on configuration of networking security equipment, and management tools
In depth knowledge managing Next Generation Checkpoint/Fortinet IPS modules in a highly distributed and complex environment
Support the following platforms Incapsula Web Application Firewall (WAF), Imperva Cloud Web Application Firewall, SecureSphere (Hardware WAF), McAfee/Trellix Intrusion prevention systems, Checkpoint or Fortinet Firewalls, Skyhigh on premise and Cloud Web Gateways.
Able to manage all aspects of a Content Delivery Network (CDN) configuration
Proven experience writing detailed documentation and processes
Expert knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, IPSEC, SSL and TLS protocols
Extensive experience working remotely in a self-managed environment
High motivation level and an appetite for fast-paced team environment; readily adaptable to changing market and organization requirements
Network Automation experience with Python and/or Ansible strongly preferred
Familiar with infrastructure as code
Excellent verbal and written communication
