Job Description

The Business Data Performance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our fraud management initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel and SQL, and capable of transforming raw data into actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to fraud detection and prevention.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor business performance and fraud metrics.
  • Utilize SQL to query databases and extract relevant data for analysis.
  • Leverage Excel to perform data manipulation, complex calculations, and create detailed visualizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to detect fraudulent activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in all analysis and reporting activities.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and fraud management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within fraud management or a similar field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, power query functions, and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of systems capabilities, software platforms and processes.
  • Good knowledge of database management concepts and principles.
  • Knowledge of PC office software and segmentation tools.
  • Excellent English, both oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection techniques and best practices.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
