Job Description

Role Summary

As a Payroll Supervisor, you will manage payroll preparation and processing activities to ensure accurate wage payment. With an understanding of payroll practices under Costa Rican regulations, you will help enhance payroll service delivery through vendor management, process improvement and automation. You will have the capacity to handle a significant workload and navigate the complexities of global team member management, all while contributing to our staff experience and overarching people strategy by providing exceptional payroll services.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Payroll management expertise, with specific knowledge of Costa Rican regulations. Skills in managing a payroll team. Strategic process improvement abilities, with experience in enhancing payroll operations. Vendor management capabilities. Analytical experience for critical review and within payroll functions. Technical proficiency in payroll systems, with a preference for Oracle experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll operations for accurate processing, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Oversee the payroll team, providing leadership for all payroll activities. Collaborate with varies teams, such as Accounting and Finance, to reconcile payroll data and maintain financial integrity. Guide process optimization, reducing errors and increasing the quality of payroll services.

  • 8+ years of Payroll experience, with 2+ years in a people management role.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Experience in multinational or corporate settings, enhancing the ability to manage complex payroll systems.
  • Postgraduate diploma/degree or equivalent professional experience in finance, accounting, or related field.

The Payroll Supervisor is important for ensuring that all aspects of payroll are managed. You will manage the accuracy and compliance of payroll processes, directly affecting employee trust. The Payroll Supervisor will stabilize the payroll team, and improve different areas such as: Operational Excellence, Employee Satisfaction and Compliance and Risk Mitigation.
