Job Description

We are looking for an experienced individual to lead the Pricing function and produce value-based, competitive proposals for customers across Experian's Data and Decision Analytics portfolios in the EMAP region. In the role of Head of Pricing EMAP you will transform the way pricing is delivered to use automation and standardization to deal with continued growth while maximizing the value from utilizing the pricing team. You will report to the Director of FP&A and Commercial Finance.

You will be expected to:

  • Lead a distributed team of pricing professionals.
  • Oversee production of pricing proposals for new deals and renewals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to define pricing structures based on value for all products and propositions.
  • Transform the Pricing function to drive control, governance and efficiency across all deal sizes and complexity through developing the use of standardized pricing, systems/tools.
  • Ensure the Pricing team provides operational support to our Sales teams with a focus on tracking negotiations, implementation of the pricing strategy, sales collaboration and pricing metrics.
  • Viewed as a key member of the business leadership teams by providing strong commercial and pricing expertise.
  • Review tender submissions for renewal and new product negotiations to ensure the most competitive pricing is offered and current strategic client business activity is maintained and developed.
  • Oversee the deal governance process ensuring it is effective and efficient. Look for opportunities to enhance the process.
  • Lead pricing discussions with clients supporting Sales.

Qualifications

You will need to bring:

  • Strong financial understanding ensuring profitability and commercial optimization.
  • Experience of value-based pricing. The ability to understand the drivers of value and apply them in price negotiations and in developing standardized product pricing.
  • Excellent people management, delegation and development skills.
  • Excellent project management skills. Able to juggle the daily 'urgent' customer responses while still moving forward with projects and process transformation at pace.
  • Good team player able to work with all other departments – including Sales, Product, Commercial Management, Finance.
  • Experience negotiating directly with customers.
