Job Description

We are recruiting for a Group Tax Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a sabbatical period. You will support across all pillars of the Group Tax team, including Tax Operations, Tax Business Support and Transfer Pricing. The Group Tax team assure Experian's worldwide tax compliance and share the tax consequences of decisions before they are made. Our Goal is to achieve a predictable and optimised global tax position reflected by our Tax Policy.

Reporting into our Head of Tax Business Support we will consider this role on a remote or hybrid basis linked to our London or Nottingham office.

Why this role is important to us

The Experian Group Tax Team is an outstanding team managing multiple high priority and high value tax processes and tax projects. You will support on some critical project work which is outside the daily workload being managed by the current team. Implementing these projects will lead to better future performance and risk management by Group Tax. You will working with most individuals in the Group Tax team of 12 (including more junior and more senior team members) during this 12 month period.

Qualifications

What you'll need to bring to the role & Experian

  • Tax expertise working in a high pace tax team either in house or in practice.
  • Strong background in corporate tax, gained within the UK or Ireland, or in another jurisdiction following a similar corporate tax regime.
  • Self-starter able to operate with ease in a matrix style organisation

Work that matters - What you'll be doing

  • Support on UK&I corporate tax compliance processes, including first stage of transition of those processes from outsourced service provider to internal overseas service center and automation of some related sub-processes.
  • Support the internal review of selected processes around Tax which are managed across the Experian organization, such as withholding tax.
  • Lead (with support) standalone financial transfer pricing projects, such as conducting a transfer pricing risk review across all internal funding arrangements
  • Support Transfer Pricing Manager on larger transfer pricing projects, e.g. review of allocation of expenses into and out of Brazil given developments in local Brazilian tax environment.
  • Support on group rationalisation projects, including tax risk assessments of entities which are targeted for liquidation and tax analysis related to group reorganisations.
