Job Description

A Business Development Graduate is a dynamic and exciting role within Experian. Reporting into the Head of Sales, you will join the Experian Data Quality sales team who sell data quality software to a range of business-to-business clients across sectors including Retail, Finance, Gaming, Fintech, Public Sector, Utilities and others. The products offered help companies improve the quality of data across their organisation, enabling them to better serve their customers.

This is a customer facing role within an exciting and growing area of the business, meaning that the responsibilities revolve around driving revenue through building relationships and identifying leads within our existing client base.

As a Business Development Graduate, you will:

  • Use technologies to uncover contacts across accounts you want to target.
  • Engage with existing/prospect clients to generate new business, ensuring that we continue to grow our client base.
  • Speak to existing/prospect clients over the phone, via email and in-person.
  • Meet with prospect clients to uncover potential opportunities.
  • Work with wider sales and support teams, giving you the remit to build relationships and explore cross-sale opportunities.

This is a solution selling role, which helps to ensure the correct processes are followed to provide the right fit and value to the client. This means that you must have strong problem-solving skills, as you'll need to understand the clients' needs, and produce an effective solution.

Building strong client relationships is key to this role and in return, you have the amazing opportunity to genuinely impact our business success.

Our Graduate roles are permanent opportunities, and you'll also take part in our 2 year structured Early Careers Development Programme when you join us which is packed with workshops, short-courses & online material designed to help kick-start your career.

Qualifications

You'll have recently achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 degree classification in any degree subject, and have an interest in sales, customers and people.

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be motivated to keep going in the face of rejection. You will be customer-focused person with an ability to think innovatively to provide the best outcome for our clients.

Previous experience in a customer-facing role is valuable but not essential. If you have a desire to develop your business-to-business sales skillset, this is the role for you!

Whilst we have adopted a hybrid way of working, you'll work onsite at the London office at least weekly.

Legal right to work in the UK for the full duration of the graduate programme: this role is not capable of visa sponsorship.
