Job Description
We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer with a good technical knowledge base centered around user interface (UI) application development to handle some complex engineering projects. You will contribute to system design and architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and provide solutions to technical challenges. This role is ideal for someone with software development experience, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on continuous improvement. You will report to the Value Stream Lead and will work remotely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (at least 50% in progress) or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience developing and delivering full-stack web applications
- 2+ years of experience with a modern JavaScript client-side framework and with HTML and CSS
- 2+ years of experience with NodeJS and relational databases
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with TypeScript, common cloud providers like AWS and GCP
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and system/architecture design
- Experience in version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
Additional Information
This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
