Job Description
Within Experian's Chief Risk Office (CRO), we are on a transformational journey of evolving our approach to Operational Risk Management. To support this agenda, we are looking for a Technical Writer with a background in creative writing and digital content development to join our Global Risk and Compliance Training Centre of Excellence. You will partner with Instructional Designers and internal Subject Matter Experts to summarize proprietary content and processes into a variety of learning assets and technical documentation. You will reporting into the Training Director. Additionally, you will bring your own experience of Instructional Design and Content Creation best practices in the modern Risk & Compliance technical writing space.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all written content is consistent with company standards, legal guidelines, brand standards, and is grammatically correct
- Partner and collaborate with team members to support the instructional design process with creative copywriting and storytelling techniques.
- Stay up to date with the latest communication techniques, digital trends, and best practices to enhance content effectiveness and engagement
- Contribute to a culture that achieves team goals, delights customers, and keeps consumer advocacy at the heart of everything we do.
- Partner with global teams to enhance online and onsite training.
- Maintain content for existing learning assets to ensure the content delivered is accurate and up to date
- Build and expand on relationships within the Risk & Compliance organization for all CRO-related documentation needs.
- Manage content development workflows to ensure all content is engaging, fit for purpose, complete, and always up to date.
- Partner with Learning & Development specialists to ensure knowledge base content aligns with what is in our training programs.
- Execute on opportunities to improve learning content and documentation based on usage metrics, performance data, and learner feedback.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience creating engaging and informative content for different corporate training and communications materials for both print and digital platforms.
- Experience laying voiceovers and choosing/editing soundtracks
- Knowledge of grammar and style standards of Chicago Manual of Style, AP-Style, and Modern British English.
- Related Professional Certification(s) from Society for Technical Communication (STC) or similar.
- Demonstrated experience with digital editing using the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, and Photoshop); experience with Camtasia and Vyond.
- Experience with, or interest to learn, course authoring software such as Articulate Rise.
- Understanding of Adult Learning Theory and Instructional Design Practice
- Experience using AI to produce content.
