Job Description
We’re seeking a high energy leader with proven progressive experience that has delivered improved business performance and who can manage risks, ambiguity and business metrics in a high expectations environment. Able to quickly understand complex concepts, identify and solve problems, turn ideas into logical plans, this key role leads our Strategic agenda to drive client propositions to exceed client expectations. The initial focus will be driving integrated data, analytics and decisioning propositions to grow market share through innovative and disruptive propositions to partners, government agencies and clients. The role will also be responsible for developing new segments, new channel opportunities, leading strategic industry alliances, and strategic product initiatives for revenue growth.
Accountable for developing and managing long-term strategic plans for the organization based on market demand or economic trends and proactively leads, champions and drives product / business growth across the portfolio of products & services including the financial performance.
Accountable for developing new product or services to drive overall business revenue that meet marketplace needs via Innovation, market analysis, customer insight and competitor activity.
What you’ll need to bring to the party
- Business and commercial experience gained in a complex, matrix environment.
- Track record of achievements with a commercial mind-set and proven track record of operational leadership, P&L management and driving business performance in a client centric environment
- Experience of business planning techniques and disciplines needed to develop and execute operational plans (i.e. annual budget plans, manpower plans).
- Proven experience in effective strategy integration to create a holistic business that brings its data, technology and service assets together to expand our reach in a competitive landscape.
- Strong awareness of the market space and current drivers in this area.
- The ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, advocates and colleagues, and stakeholders manage across diverse groups e.g. from board level to call centre agent level.
- Hands-on experience of managing and optimising commercial and customer experience key performance indicators
- Understanding how to use insight and analytics across a broad spectrum of areas to understand the drivers of performance, what issues and opportunities exist to ‘improve’ our customer experience and our commercial results, and what needs to happen to make that improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead data, analytics and decisioning strategy and partnerships to drive strategic initiatives that will bring mid-to-long term value to organization to improve business performance
- Develop stake holder buy in with detailed budgeting, cost benefits analysis, competitor analysis, proposition development and maintain the business roadmap and be accountable for the development, execution and maintenance of the initiatives
- Develop and effectively implement ‘Go to market’ plans, work cross-functionality to ensure successful execution
- Work together with products and sales team to make things move faster and in a structured way in relation to complex proposition and selected new products or services
- Recommending changes to business strategies based on current market conditions or customer preferences
- Ensure that good client/consumer outcomes are at the centre of decision making
- Ensure business cases are well documented and prioritized
- Own / lead the definition of business requirements, ensuring feasibility studies happen and ensure that initiatives meet the needs of the business.
- Lead the representation of the initiatives with senior stakeholders and across organization, evangelize and inspire
- Ensure Internal teams are successfully trained and educated on new product positioning, pricing, differentiation, and key features
- Be the key spoke person, where appropriate and required, for the strategic initiatives and coordinate feature communication and launches with sales and marketing teams
- Take reasonable steps to ensure that the business area complies with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system
- All items relate to presales / strategic initiatives/ strategy with commercial acumen
Qualifications
- Experience: 7-10 years of strong commercial acumen and P&L management in a complex environment.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to understand complex concepts, solve problems, and create logical plans using insights and analytics.
- Market Awareness: Strong awareness of market drivers and the ability to develop innovative products/services to meet market needs.
- Leadership: Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and lead strategic initiatives.
