Job Description

As Pricing Manager, you will be part of the Strategic Pricing and Analytics team which is critical in supporting the success of the North America business. We are responsible for commercial pricing across our various sales channels, product suites and client segments, and managing process governance and pricing integrity. We are committed to Sales empowerment, commercial creativity, and exceptional decision making. We engage directly with Sales, Finance and Product Management to construct and negotiate creative pricing deals to win business that is beneficial to both clients and Experian.

Your responsibilities are extremely varied, with a typical day consisting of deal-level pricing design and approval, and project work on items such as developing benchmarking tools, conducting reviews of historical pricing and ad-hoc financial support for the Sales teams. You will report to the Sr. Director of Accelerated Commercial Enablement.

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role located in Franklin, TN.

You'll have opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with internal partners within Sales, Contracts, and Finance to create or approve deal-level pricing.
  • Participate in internal pricing negotiations, deal structure, profitability models and sales efforts
  • Creatively position pricing that maximizes revenues, protects AUPs, ensures future spend and builds market share.
  • Manage and approve a queue of pricing requests
  • Work to develop pricing tools, such as benchmarking and historical analysis to assist the team in deal-level pricing
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing for new product development, product pricing and product launch.
  • Collaborate with internal partners within Sales, Contracts, and Finance to move pricing proposals from inception to negotiation to implementation.
  • Structure and participate in pricing negotiations, deal structure, profitability models and sales efforts across multiple Experian lines of businesses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar pricing environment
  • Prior Pricing, Sales, Sales Operations, Finance or Product Marketing experience
  • Experience working with Oracle, Hyperion, Salesforce and Tableau and home grown applications
  • The ability to have difficult conversations with internal partners, and to defend your position with commercial rationales
  • Be comfortable with data, both regarding interpretation, and presentation to support pricing decisions
  • Excel skills (can perform complex functions) with experience in data manipulation and tool building
  • Commercial decision making experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Experian's range of products and services across North America
  • Understanding of general technology terminology, services, and project lifecycles

This is a hybrid role located in Franklin, TN.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
