Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead Architect to join the Experian Marketing Services architecture team. This critical role shapes the long-term technology strategy and ensures a scalable, secure, and interoperable enterprise architecture aligned with Experian's strategic goals. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to design a future-proof technology ecosystem that enables innovation, efficiency, and seamless integration across the organization.
As an important member of our architecture team, you will be more than just a technical expert; you will be a leader, a mentor, and a strategist. You will contribute to our most critical projects, using your unique blend of technical knowledge to shape our cloud ecosystem. You will report into the Director, Head of Architecture.
What you will do:
- Guide the Vision: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop the next generation of our cloud applications and infrastructure.
- Build Bridges: Be a critical link between teams to ensure technical projects align with strategic goals.
- Promote Excellence: Mentor engineers and promoting a culture of high-quality, secure, and automated development practices.
- Solving Complex Challenges: Architecting solutions for processing high-volume data workloads and ensuring our systems are secure and scalable.
Qualifications
What you will bring:
- 7+ years of hands on software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience in an architecture role.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud migration strategies including workload assessment, migration planning, and adoption roadmaps.
- Experience developing secure cloud applications and infrastructure, applying best practices in cloud architecture, security, and DevOps automation; experience with large-scale data processing systems.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and platforms, including re-architecting on-prem systems to run natively in the cloud.
- Experience with modernization strategies such as rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and the evaluation of build vs. buy decisions.
- Experience with large-scale data processing using major cloud providers ( AWS or GCP)
- Experience designing across all architecture domains: application, data, infrastructure, security, and integration.
- Familiarity with non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership, business owners, and technical teams.
