Job description
The IoT Compliance and Lifecycle Coordinator plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and performance of connected devices across their lifecycle. This position combines technical oversight, process automation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence in enterprise IoT environments.
Tanium File Processing:
Filter and analyze data from Tanium reports and other internal reporting tools to compare against existing inventory and identify discrepancies.
Network Device Review:
Identify devices potentially removed from the network. Investigate IP address changes and update records accordingly. Collaborate with the Networks team to identify unknown devices as appropriate.
Vulnerability Assessment:
Use Panaseer to review vulnerabilities across IoT inventoried devices. Conduct manual HTTP/HTTPS access tests on new devices and assess potential exposure from default credentials.
Inventory Management:
Update asset inventory with new devices, IP changes, status updates, ownership, and vulnerability findings. Ensure completeness of device metadata (e.g., location, model).
Stakeholder Communication:
Send targeted emails to device owners detailing vulnerabilities and required actions. Follow up on missing information and send reminders as needed.
Process Automation & Optimization:
Automate repetitive tasks across Tanium, Panaseer, and Bluecat by developing scripts to streamline data filtering, reporting, and communications. Collaborate with IT to implement tools that enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Technical proficiency with security tools such as Tanium, Panaseer, and Bluecat, including the ability to interpret data, identify anomalies, and manage device inventories effectively.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, asset management, or vulnerability assessment, preferably in environments with large-scale infrastructure and cross-functional collaboration.
- Scripting and automation capabilities using languages like Python or PowerShell to streamline manual workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to assess complex data sets, identify risks, and propose actionable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement, including the ability to document findings, send targeted communications, and follow up with device owners and network teams.
