Job Description

Experian is looking for a security-focused cloud professional to join our Cloud Enablement team as a Platform Security Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our cloud operating model with a emphasis on security, governance, and compliance.

You will be part of an agile team responsible for the architecture, infrastructure provisioning, financial oversight, monitoring, and security governance of our cloud estate. Collaboration with software engineers, site reliability engineers, and platform engineers is important, so strong communication and teamwork skills. You will report to the Senior Manager

We're looking for someone passionate about cloud security, with deep knowledge of AWS services, infrastructure as code, and modern DevSecOps practices. You should identify and mitigate security risks, implementing secure cloud architectures, and improving security posture.

Key responsibilities:

• Security governance across our cloud estate, including patching OS and cloud components
• Identify and mitigate security threats to maintain compliance with internal and external standards
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available platforms
• Automate security controls and monitoring – embracing the 'Everything as Code' philosophy

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with AWS security services (IAM, KMS, Cloudwatch)
• 6+ years of experience with networking and security architecture in cloud environments
• Experience with security vulnerability management and remediation
• Familiarity with configuration management tools – Terraform, Ansible
• Strong problem-solving and reverse engineering skills
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into build and release processes
