Job Description
As a Senior Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be involved in the design, execution and maintenance of both automated and manual tests and the related frameworks. You will demonstrate expertise in automation testing, framework development and process improvement.
What you'll do:
- Evaluate application requirements and design documents, and working with Product Owners, Systems Engineers and Architects.
- Create, schedule and complete both manual and automation functional tests on given product.
- Be part of the maintenance and support tasks related to the existing automation frameworks and building new automation frameworks from scratch.
- Report and validate complex defects with high quality.
- Maintain all sort of documentation.
- Document removal of issues, defects, or uncertainties, related with the Software product.
- Communicate testing progress to all relevant stakeholders including on-site and offshore team members.
- Track requirements in the project and modify testing artifacts accordingly.
- Guide and support the fellow colleagues in their daily work, as well share experience with them.
- Contribute to retrospectives and defect escape analysis.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- 8+ years of Experience with testing web applications, web services, at least 5 of them using automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of UI and API automation testing.
- Knowledge and expertise in the Object-Oriented Programming and SDLC as a whole.
- Good command of at least one programming language – TypeScript, .NET, or other.
- Experience with version control systems (Git is preferable)
- Good SQL knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with bug-tracking systems (Jira, TFS or others).
- Work experience with Jenkins or similar CI tool.
- Expertise in working with and building frameworks for test automation (Playwright, Junit/TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, Cypress).
- Previous experience in at least few projects/products where the QA role has also covered tests in the performance areas – Performance, Load, Stress testing.
- API testing tools, such as Postman, Bruno, Jmeter.
- Experience using AI tools into building and maintaining automation tests suites or frameworks - GitHub Copilot or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
Any of the following abilities and skills will be considered an advantage:
- Experience using ServiceNow
- Experience with Oracle or other RDBMS
- Experience working in Agile environment (Kanban)
- Previous in FinTech projects or solutions
