Job Description
As a Product Owner within the Verifications domain, you will play a key role in shaping the vision, strategy, and delivery of market‑leading verification products.
Working in a cross‑functional squad, you will define customer needs, prioritise the backlog, and guide engineering teams to deliver new capabilities and enhance existing services.
You will champion user‑centric design, ensure regulatory and security requirements are met, and drive the delivery of intuitive, reliable experiences for a wide range of clients.
Your role is central to making sure the team builds the right thing, at the right time, with clear and actionable requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and reporting to Director Product Management.
- Lead the agile team to deliver high‑quality solutions that create measurable business value.
- Collaborate across the full product lifecycle with internal and external partners (e.g., GSO, GSA, CIAM, Service & Billing).
- Work with the Product Manager to define Epics and break them into clear, testable User Stories, enabling incremental delivery with target cycle times.
- Own the backlog: prioritisation, refinement, and day‑to‑day management.
- Define and uphold the Definition of Done and drive quality acceptance criteria.
- Lead refinement, estimation, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and big‑room/PI planning.
- Gather customer and stakeholder feedback, translate insights into actionable requirements, and make informed prioritisation decisions.
- Promote continuous improvement across delivery, quality, and team effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product‑facing role.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Write high‑quality Epics and User Stories with well‑defined acceptance criteria.
- Expertise in explaining complex topics to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across diverse teams and cultures.
- Hands‑on experience with JIRA and Aha!
- Good understanding of core web application security principles.
- Understand and discuss technical architecture and various development languages.
- Experience working in data‑led or compliance‑heavy product environments.
- Exposure to financial services, digital identity, or verification products.
