Job Description
We’re looking for a strong Senior React Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building enterprise level, production applications and has deep experience in developing server-side rendered (SSR) React applications.
You’ll work alongside Tech Leads, Product Owners, UX Designers and Server-side Engineers to deliver performant, resilient, and scalable web components that provide life-changing financial services to millions of customers across the globe. We’re looking for someone that cares deeply about code quality, foundational design principles, working collaboratively across teams and feels empowered to share their opinions in conversations.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain enterprise-scale React applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Develop full stack, server-side rendered (SSR) applications using modern React patterns
- Work with frameworks such as React Router, Next.js, Remix, or TanStack Router (or similar)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve our frontend and full stack patterns
- Write clean, thoroughly tested and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers where appropriate
- Support CI/CD processes and production deployments and application support.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building full stack, server-side rendered React applications.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- React Router
- Next.js
- Remix
- TanStack Router
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals (Caching, performance optimization, accessibility, OAuth, etc).
- Experience designing and consuming REST & GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
- Hands-on experience with Copilot/ChatGPT/Claude as a coding assistant, prompt engineering and evaluation of AI output quality.
- Experience working on an Agile engineering team (Jira, Sprints, etc)
Nice to Haves
- Design and implement APIs and backend integrations to support frontend experiences.
- Experience with Node.js backend development.
- Working knowledge of AWS (Lambdas, Fargate, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Experience collaborating with designers using modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and design-to-code workflows, including leveraging AI tooling and automation to accelerate UI development and iteration.
- Experience developing AI-driven workflows, including handling edge cases, what a trust signal is, and designing fallback patterns.
- Working knowledge of how to utilize and filter data with observability and monitoring tools.
- Experience working in heavily regulated financial environments.
