Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Manager - Full Stack who is a strong hands-on engineering leader with deep technical expertise across backend and frontend systems. This role requires someone who can drive architecture, stay close to code, mentor teams, and bring a forward-looking mindset toward adopting new technologies, including AI, to drive innovation and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Drive design and architecture of scalable, secure backend systems on AWS.
  • Contribute to end-to-end solution design across services, APIs, and UI layers.
  • Stay hands-on and contribute to critical components when required.
  • Build and integrate API-driven services (REST/GraphQL, event-driven systems).
  • Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and observability in production.
  • Drive root cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of production issues.
  • Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams on roadmap and execution.
  • Lead design reviews, code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.
  • Promote adoption of modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development and automation.

Qualifications

  • 13 to16 years of software development experience with strong technical depth.
  • Proven experience in Engineering Management or leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Good understanding of frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
  • Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems.
  • Experience with AWS (EKS/Kubernetes, Lambda, S3, etc.).
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, SQS) and API design (REST/GraphQL).
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and testing practices (TDD, microservices testing).
  • Good understanding of modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular).
  • Ability to design and review end-to-end solutions across backend and UI layers.
  • Familiarity with SPA, Micro Frontends, and GraphQL integrations.
  • Ability to guide frontend development and integration (hands-on coding not primary focus).
  • Strong technical leadership with the ability to influence architecture and engineering direction.
  • Balance hands-on engineering with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Drive adoption of new technologies, including AI, to improve productivity and engineering outcomes.
