Job Description
As Sales & Account Manager (m/f/d) for Experian in the DACH market, you are responsible for managing and expanding relationships with clients in Insurance Industry By combining expert account management with proactive business development, you will drive growth, deliver innovative solutions, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction in a competitive, data-driven marketplace.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients in Insurance across Germany
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts, developing tailored strategies for account growth (cross-selling, upselling, deeper market penetration)
- Lead the complete sales process for Experian’s data and software solutions from opportunity identification and proposal development to negotiation and deal closure
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by leveraging your network, digital tools, and account insights
- Apply established sales methodologies to manage the deal cycle, ensure consultative solution selling, and achieve revenue targets
- Proactively monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform account strategy and anticipate client needs
- Advocate for clients internally, communicating feedback and market insights to support innovation and continuous improvement of Experian’s offerings
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions in CRM systems
- Support the alignment of strategic and operational sales initiatives, collaborating closely with marketing, consulting, and delivery teams
- Represent Experian at industry events, trade fairs, and customer forums, enhancing brand presence and expanding your professional network
- Contribute ideas for ongoing innovation and the further development of industry-specific solutions
- Co-organize marketing activities and customer events to drive engagement and brand loyalty
- Uphold Experian’s values and high standards in every client and team interaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Significant experience in account management or sales, ideally within data and software in the DACH market
- Proven track record of growing revenues and expanding relationships within large, complex accounts
- Strong skills in solution selling, negotiation, and deal cycle management, including pipeline generation and account development
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and digital tools for research, reporting, and client engagement
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in German and English, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Analytical, independent, and results-driven approach with a focus on customer value
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing client needs and fast-paced environments
- Team-oriented mindset with high self-motivation and passion for continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with established sales methodologies (e.g., Miller Heiman, Challenger, SPIN)
- Experience in data and software-related sales (SaaS and Cloud solutions)
