We are looking to hire a Senior Operations Manager to manage the inventory side of our Salt Lake City, UT fulfillment center, which is our western headquarters. As part of the Salt Lake City leadership team you will plan, organize, control, and direct the daily inbound and outbound activities of the entire facility, plus be a truly motivating people leader. This role reports to the Senior Director of Operations.

You will:

  • Create new policies and procedures that improve productivity at the fulfillment center and enforce Misfit Market’s safety and quality control standards
  • Oversee daily task execution, ensuring the tasks are properly allocated amongst the workforce and executed with precision
  • Oversee the center’s inventory equipment and functionality, working to ensure all components of the facility are functioning properly
  • Define roles and responsibilities in an evolving start-up environment
  • Partner with the HR and Talent team to develop talent pool
  • Manage each aspect of inventory budget and expense control to meet or exceed all budget and productivity performance guidelines and benchmarks
  • Oversee distribution fundamentals to maintain asset integrity and adherence to corporate policies
  • Monitor and control all inventory discrepancies by reviewing, researching and reporting all issues through proper channels
  • Conduct open communication and meetings with team member staff to address concerns and issues
  • Review changes in distribution philosophies to increase operational efficiencies and strive for continuous improvement, while planning strategically for the future of the business

You Have:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Experience with ERP and WMS software
  • 5-7 years in a high-paced operational role, including but not limited to warehouse, distribution center, food manufacturing, fulfillment center or supply chain management, with proven management skills and experience
  • eCommerce Operations and pick-pack order fulfillment experience preferred
  • Ability to operate in a high-paced fulfillment center environment which includes standing for extended period of times, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, the operation of commercial machinery and the movement of heavy loads
  • Commitment to teamwork, a positive attitude, and an excellent work ethic
  • Willingness to fill a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • People management experience is required
