About the Role

Misfits Market is seeking a Growth Video Producer to supercharge our paid media creative output and performance. Reporting to the Senior Growth Manager, this role sits at the intersection of performance and production, combining creative intuition with a growth mindset. You’ll ideate, script, film, and edit short-form video ads designed to improve conversion and scale our acquisition engine across Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging channels.

You’ll thrive here if you love working fast, testing relentlessly, and crafting thumb-stopping stories about the food system and innovative farmers, producers, and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Create performance-first video content for paid social and growth marketing campaigns, from scripting to video editing
  • Collaborate closely with Growth marketing to execute video ad concepts that drive new customer signups, and testing new messaging, hooks, formats, and visuals to improve CAC and ROAS.
  • Turn insights from top-performing ads into new ideas, scripts, and creative iterations.
  • Stay plugged in to social video trends, competitor creative, and platform innovations that can inform our growth strategy
  • Be an internal champion for storytelling that’s strategic, data-informed, and distinctly Misfits with creative guidance from the Brand team
  • Execute video concepts by filming in whatever setting best brings the idea to life—whether that’s at home, outdoors, or on location—with occasional travel as needed.
  • Maintain content library to organize video assets, including b-roll, UGC-sourced footage, and other internal footage to support creative remixing and scalability

Who You Are:

  • You have 3–5 years of experience in short-form video production with a strong track record in performance marketing or direct-response creative that has directly driven purchases, subscriptions, or sign-ups.
  • A proactive and resourceful individual who isn't afraid to innovate. You can quickly turn a brief into a polished video, from shooting on your phone to editing and delivering, all within the same week. You're comfortable getting scrappy to bring new ideas to life.
  • You have a strong understanding of growth marketing principles, what drives consumer purchase behavior, and how to translate that into compelling, customer-centric video content.
  • You're a lover of great fruits and vegetables, groceries, cooking, and sustainability. You care deeply about good food, groceries, and sustainability—and you’re excited to tell stories that help people discover better ways to shop, cook, and reduce waste.
  • You’re well-versed with Adobe Premiere (or similar), and basic familiarity with After Effects or CapCut a plus.
  • You possess strong copywriting instincts for punchy hooks, concise storytelling, and clear CTAs that improve video engagement metrics such as hook rates and video view retention rates.
  • You’re comfortable on camera and know how to coach others to be—bonus if you have experience directing UGC-style shoots.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience creating video ads for Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts with measurable business impact.
  • A sharp eye for visual pacing, performance storytelling, and platform-specific nuances.
  • An understanding of growth metrics like CTR, CVR, CAC, and ROAS and a desire to move them.
  • The ability to collaborate cross-functionally with the Growth, Brand, and Merchandising teams, among others.
