As a member of the pharmacology group, we seek a scientifically curious and motivated individual with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The potential Research Associate will develop and execute the ligand binding assay based bioanalytical method development to support pharmacokinetics (PK) sample analysis. In addition, the candidate will have opportunity to analyze high volume of data and to develop in vitro assays for compound characterization using ELISA, Octet, and cell-based assays. This position is hands-on and requires the effective experiment execution, communication, and documentation of results that enable the advancement of novel research molecules toward development candidates. Strong candidates will be hard working, efficient, collaborative, and passionate about drug discovery and development. Experience in ligand binding assay development and routine sample analysis is desired. This position will report directly to the Scientist of in vivo Pharmacology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, develop and execute ligand binding assays and other in vitro assays to support both in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies.
- Proven track record of ligand binding assay development and participation of routine preclinical and/or clinical sample analysis. Execute assays from assay development, qualification (if required), sample analysis, data analysis, and report by following the instruction or established procedure.
- Analyze and present experimental data using Prism, Excel, MS Office or similar software.
- Produce detailed documentation of experiments within a lab notebook and electronically.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize workload effectively within a multi-task environment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in ligand binding assay development, qualification/validation and sample analysis.
- Competence in data analysis tools (Excel, GraphPad). Candidates with experience in data management, coding and programming in Excel or other data management software would be a plus.
- Hands-on expertise with ELISA and MSD is highly desirable.
- Experience with cell-based assays is a plus.
- Experience with immunogenicity/ADA sample analysis is a plus.
- Ability to perform routine testing and to follow SOPs in a highly accurate and reproducible manner.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
88000 - 95000 USD a year
In addition to a competitive base salary ranging from $88,000 to $95,000, we offer stock options, restricted stock units, a stock purchase plan (ESPP) and a target bonus.
