WHAT YOU'LL DO
Team Leadership
Team Leadership
- Support the training, coaching, and development of team members alongside the General Manager
- Occasionally lead our "legendary pre-shifts" to set the team up for a successful shift
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, break policies, and company guidelines during shifts
- Address team issues calmly and respectfully, escalating when appropriate
- Model INDAY values and uphold people policies with fairness and consistency
- Help develop future leaders by delegating responsibilities and supporting growth
Ops Excellence
- Support strong restaurant performance by driving sales, managing labor during shifts, and controlling food and supply costs
- Ensure we are executing all INDAY recipes up to our standards of quality, consistency and portions
- Lead day-to-day shift execution, ensuring accurate clock-in and clock-out practices
- Support ordering, inventory counts, and stock organization for food, equipment, and supplies
- Review time punches and flag issues to the GM as needed
- Follow cash handling and reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Complete required administrative tasks, including shift checklists, deposit logs, incident reports, and communication notes
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Engage with guests, building genuine connections and trust
- Handle guest concerns with care and a solutions-focused approach
- Support recovery actions for guest feedback when needed
- Promote catering and large orders and assist with execution as required
- Ensure guests are greeted warmly and hospitality standards are consistently upheld
Financial and Admin duties
- Use daily reports to monitor sales, labor, and key performance indicators
- Perform cash counts, deposits, and manage discounts or promotions correctly, as needed
- Complete incident and workers’ compensation reports when necessary
Additional Skills & Responsibilities
- Ensure the restaurant is opened and closed according to INDAY procedures
- Strong understanding of service flow, throughput, and line execution
- Handle delivery issues and third-party orders efficiently
- Serve as a positive role model in Good Karma culture who earns trust and respect from the team
- Coach in the moment and support continuous improvement
WHO YOU ARE
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast casual or similar high-volume restaurant
- Clear, confident communicator with strong spoken and written English skills
- Comfortable leading in a fast-paced environment and staying professional under pressure
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage time and priorities effectively
- Takes ownership of their work and leads with a sense of urgency and accountability
- Positive, steady leader who motivates and supports team members
- Comfortable using basic computer tools and systems (email, POS, scheduling, reporting)
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended shifts (8–10 hours), including standing, walking, bending, and stooping
- Food handler's license
