We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Benefits Analyst to support the day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs on a part-time, contract basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in benefits and leave of absence (LOA) management, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits and leave-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate support.
- Administer and maintain all employee benefit programs, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, and FSA/HSA plans.
- Support the administration and tracking of employee leaves of absence (FMLA, STD, parental, personal leave, etc.), including:
- Communicating with employees about their leave status, rights, and responsibilities.
- Tracking leave time, ensuring timely updates to HRIS systems and payroll, and maintaining accurate leave records.
- Coordinate pay during leave periods by calculating and reconciling payments from State-provided benefits and Employer-sponsored benefits, as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to benefits and leave administration.
- Collaborate with People team, payroll and third-party vendors to ensure accurate benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Process qualifying life event changes and ensure appropriate documentation is collected and maintained.
- Reconcile benefit invoices and assist with audits and reporting as needed.
- Help develop and improve internal processes, documentation, and employee communications related to benefits and LOA.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, including leave of absence management.
- Solid understanding of benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA).
- Experience working with HRIS and benefits platforms (Workday preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
