Role
As our new Senior Automation QA Engineer, you'll be a technical hands-on team member who designs and builds Python-powered automation tests, improving our frameworks and CI workflows. Your work will safeguard the quality of our rapidly growing ecosystem of cloud & data services, speed up release cycles, and enhance overall product reliability. You'll collaborate closely with different teams, turning test coverage into a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of testing activities across releases and features
- Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines
- Develop reliable, scalable API and UI test suites for cloud and data services
- Enhance test automation tools, scripts, coverage, and code structure
- Identify, isolate, and report issues found during testing and assist developers in identifying root causes
- Implement and document modular, reusable test patterns to keep maintenance low and coverage high
- Partner with developers and product stakeholders to embed quality checks and meet company goals
Qualifications
- Clear and pro-active communicator in case of questions, issues, improvement proposals etc.
- Ability to abstract complex solutions, validate functional analysis and design tests, provide estimates
- Expert in Python & Pytest with 3+ years of hands-on automation experience
- A strong "automation-first" approach and a well-developed understanding of test methodologies
- Proven track record of REST API automation, comfortable crafting contract and user flow tests
- Experience with Playwright
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how tests fit seamlessly into them
- Collaborate in code reviews and maintain our standards high
- Worked with AI-assisted testing tools or frameworks
- Experience of 6-12 years of relevant experience
