The Opportunity
You will be the voice of Nexla to the developer community and the voice of developers inside Nexla. That means you understand the product deeply, you can build with it, talk about it credibly, and earn trust in technical communities. You will not be reading scripts or doing marketing theatre. You’ll be engaging developers who care about real problems and real solutions.
Responsibilities
Developer Advocacy & Community
- Actively engage with developer communities across India (and globally) through meetups, conferences, online forums, Slack/Discord groups, and open-source spaces
- Represent Nexla at developer events, workshops, hackathons, and tech talks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, influencers, and community leaders
Technical Content & Enablement
- Create high-quality technical content: blogs, tutorials, sample apps, demos, videos, and talks
- Build hands-on examples using Nexla APIs, connectors, and platform capabilities
- Help developers understand how to use Nexla in real-world architectures and workflows
Feedback Loop & Product Influence
- Gather feedback from developers and relay insights to Product and Engineering teams
- Identify friction points, missing features, and opportunities for improvement
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales Engineering to improve developer experience
Evangelism & Thought Leadership
- Speak confidently about data integration, APIs, modern data pipelines, and platform architecture
- Position Nexla as a credible, developer-first platform through authentic technical storytelling
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a developer-facing role (DevRel, Developer Advocate, Solutions Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar)
- Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in APIs, data platforms, cloud services, or backend systems
- Comfort writing code, building demos, and debugging real problems
- Proven exposure to developer communities (meetups, open source, forums, conferences, content creation)
- Strong communication skills. You can explain complex technical ideas clearly, without dumbing them down
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with data integration, ETL/ELT, APIs, or data infrastructure tools
- Public technical presence (blogs, GitHub, talks, videos, community leadership)
- Experience working with global developer audiences
- Familiarity with SaaS or developer-first products
