About the role:
Starting out within a team of fellow media analysts
Analysing research findings, teasing out insight from raw information, while exercising
creative judgement to see beyond the numbers
Drawing out key positive and negative stories, patterns and trends from data
Producing written reports which summarise media coverage accurately and concisely
Designing new reports with flair, focusing on visual storytelling and strong design
principles
Compiling new data by reading and evaluating media articles, integrating with other data
sets
Ensuring clients’ reports are completed by the deadline, which is usually monthly or
quarterly
Quality assurance: checking data before processing, and proof-reading reports written by
other analysts
Developing an understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
Building market and sector knowledge and expertise
Opportunities to develop client-facing skills by working with our Client Services team.
Blended working, aiming for 50% working from home and in the office over a month

What you must have:
Impeccable written English, with strong critical writing experience or evidence of writing
skills developed elsewhere
Proven analytical ability, with an in-built sense of curiosity and love of learning
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Sharp attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to liaise with other teams and partner agencies
Numerical skills
Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple projects
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work to a high standard under pressure

Also Useful
Familiarity with the Google suite of products – Gmail, Chat, Docs etc
Previous experience in a similar role within media/data analysis
Foreign language skills, preferably major European.
Experience in client-facing positions, client meetings and report presentation.
Experience of descriptive statistics, statistical packages, querying languages, statistical
programming languages, or Business Intelligence packages would be an advantage.
