Hanoi, Vietnam
Introduction
We're not here to add to the noise. We're here to cut through it with AI that actually works for marketers. From AI-powered content creation to world-class CMS and the industry's most trusted experimentation platform, Optimizely is the tool modern marketers actually want to use. AI-Ready. Set. Go.
10,000+ brands including H&M, PayPal, and Zoom already get it. So do Gartner, Forrester, and IDC, who consistently recognize us as leaders in MarTech.
But here's the thing about building great products: it takes great people. Our 1,600+ Optimizers across 12 global offices are curious, collaborative, and refreshingly human. We don't do corporate speak. We do real conversations, big ideas, and genuine care for the work we make together.
If you want to be part of a team that's shaping the future of marketing technology and actually enjoys doing it, you're in the right place.
Optimizely is seeking a Product Designer II to join the Platform team.
In 2026, the role is expected to focus roughly on:
- 40% AI-native design workflows: Help Platform Design rethink how we ideate, build, and test with AI, then turn the useful parts into repeatable workflows other designers can use.
- 40% ODP: Own product design for customer data, audiences, identity resolution, predictive attributes, and data activation.
- 20% Product Recs and Content Recs: Own product design for product discovery, content personalization, catalog and feed management, diagnostics, and performance insights.
This is a good fit for a designer who likes complex workflows, data-heavy products, and practical AI use in the design process.
Job Responsibilities
- Own product design end to end for ODP, Product Recs, and Content Recs.
- Make complex data, audience, recommendation, diagnostic, and activation workflows easier to understand and use.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to shape scope, product logic, technical trade-offs, and success metrics.
- Redefine how Platform Design uses AI to ideate, prototype, test, and ship product work faster.
- Create practical AI workflows, prompts, templates, and examples that designers can reuse.
- Help Platform designers, and later other product pillars, adopt AI-native workflows through real project examples and working sessions.
Knowledge and Experience
- Product depth: minimum 4 years of product design experience in SaaS, B2B, data-heavy products, or complex digital workflows.
- Communication and ownership: clear English communication, strong follow-through, and ability to learn new product domains quickly.
- Complex workflow design: portfolio work that shows strong interaction design, clear user flows, and the ability to simplify complex product logic.
- Outcome thinking: ability to connect design decisions to user needs, business goals, product outcomes, and success metrics.
- Product and Engineering partnership: strong collaboration with PM and Engineering on scope, trade-offs, technical feasibility, and delivery quality.
- AI-native design practice: hands-on experience using AI tools for research synthesis, prototyping, testing, and handoff.
- Design systems fluency: strong Figma skills and experience working with components, patterns, or design systems.
Why You Will Love Working Here
- Work with a clear focus across AI-native design workflows and strategic products.
- Own meaningful product areas across customer data, audiences, personalization, recommendations, diagnostics, and activation.
- Collaborate closely with talented designers and cross-functional partners across Vietnam, Europe, and the U.S.
- Be part of a global team culture that values creativity, quality, and continuous improvement.
