Group Manager, Product Marketing: Platform, Technical & Security

Role: Group Product Marketing Manager

Function: Lead the team responsible for Zendesk's technical and security product marketing. This role drives GTM strategy and execution across Zendesk’s portfolio of technical and security platform features & products, managing and supporting a team of individual product marketers responsible for a wide variety of PMM functions including research, messaging and positioning, enablement, and more to achieve the company goals. The role is expected to partner with leaders in product, sales, marketing and other departments on technical and security product initiatives and programs to drive positive impact for customers and the business.

The Group Manager will help hire and manage a team of 3 additional PMMs based in the Krakow area to support the activities below

What you and your team will do:

  • Lead a team of product marketers, driving GTM strategy and execution across multiple security/technical product areas while inspiring the team to drive purpose, impact and value in their work.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the CX market with respect to security and technical needs, personas, and competitors

  • Craft and own product narratives that communicate compelling security and technical positioning and messaging in-market

  • Provide team input to uplevel messaging across products/features and coach them on individual product and/or feature-level messaging

  • Orchestrate marketing and enablement initiatives spanning multiple technical and security product areas.

  • Orchestrate technical and security release marketing efforts, leading and supporting the team in the end-to-end process from roadmap updates to launch announcements and events

  • Represent technical and security PMM in cross-functional initiatives, driving alignment with leaders in Product, Marketing, Sales, Success, Analyst and other teams

  • Demonstrate, and coach team to develop, strong and clear presentation skills, preparing them for presentations to Zendesk leaders, GTM team audiences, and customers

  • Coach team to develop materials supporting customer-facing assets and interactions (e.g. sales pitch decks, MSD’s customer stories, etc.)

What you bring to the table:

  • 8+ years experience in Product Marketing and/or Product Management in software and technology; preference given to those with experience with SaaS and/or Customer Experience/Service software

  • Proven experience managing a high-performing team, including coaching & development.

  • Articulate and very skilled at storytelling in a simple straightforward way.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail, pattern recognition, insight generation, and ability to process information quickly to deliver against tight deadlines

  • Executive presence and ability to engage with senior leadership in a constructive and collaborative manner

  • Willingness to go beyond strategy in order to support execution and realization

  • Determination to focus on outcomes and be self-motivated and directed

  • A customer-first mentality

  • BA/BS or equivalent

  • Fluent in English.

Nice to haves:

This leader will report to the Senior Director, Product Marketing: Platform, WEM, Voice, and will work closely with an AMER-based team of platform product marketers.
