Program Mission:
The Health, Performance, and Development department at Overtime Elite is dedicated to developing its players' behaviors and skills to enable them to reach their highest level of performance on and off the court. Our main nutritional goal is to support and provide them with the education that will enable them to develop habits that are sustainable for their long-term development as a player at Overtime and as they progress in their career. The Part-time Sports Dietitian will work closely with the Director of HPD to service OTE players and support the wider HPD staff and coaches.

  • Staying at the forefront and applying the latest science within the field of sports nutrition.
  • Developing individualized nutrition care to all players through dietary and body composition assessments.
  • Creating opportunities for players to develop necessary nutritional habits that last beyond OTE.
  • Supporting a multi-disciplinary team approach with collaboration among other performance departments.
  • Complying with all rules and regulations.

Expectations:
  • 10-15 hours a week of providing Sport Nutrition services to players.
  • Have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic.
  • Be flexible to accommodate requests and concerns related to player nutritional needs.
  • Be motivated. When assigned tasks are complete, seek other assignments.
  • Be respectful, professional, patient, and appreciative towards players, academia, coaches, and employees/staff at the facility.


Position Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the delivery of nutrition education and food service operations.
  • Complete monthly body composition testing (via In-Body)
  • Assist with supplement distribution/compliance, life skills workshops and/or individualized fueling plans.
  • Complete monthly player nutritional evaluations and follow-ups
  • Evaluating the proper cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas.
  • Assisting in the receiving, storing, and taking inventory of food deliveries.
  • Communicate any and all player nutrition concerns with director of HPD.
  • Provide nutrition programming and/or specific recommendations to athletes, that lies within the scope of your expertise.
  • Further tasks may be asked of you at the discretion of the Director of HPD (nutrition handouts, powerpoint development, signage development, recipe development, menu development, individualized player development responsibilities, etc.).
Position Requirements:
  • BS/MS degree in nutrition sciences
  • Current certification as a Registered Dietitian
  • Experience working with athletes preferred
