As a Sr Analyst Technical Ops, selected candidates will be responsible for taking care of the daily overnight batch, handle user request and support autsosys changes.

This position requires the candidate to be very proactive and versatile with any scripting language and possibly with the knowledge of any programming language like Perl or Python, and use it as situation demands. Also requires the analysts to, constantly look out for opportunities to make the environment better each day apart from handling the daily responsibilities and automating to fix broken pieces.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Handle the daily functioning of the production support, which includes the batch runs, website support, and all other on-boarded applications.
• Support over weekends and holidays.
• Maintain and constantly update the documentation pertaining to all the on-boarded applications.
• Work with the app-dev teams to identify and highlight the regularly failing jobs and processes and bring in focus to get them fixed.
• Create and fetch necessary reporting related to batch and publish to the management as required.
• Identify automation candidates within the scope of the team and plan and work to implement it.

EDUCATION:

• B-Tech or BE and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the field is required

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical

• Experience with CA Autosys (or similar scheduler)
• UNIX (Solaris) – hands on experience is a must
• Experience with PL/SQL
• Shell Programming (C-shell, KORN Shell) and PERL/PYTHON will be good to have
• Proc*C knowledge is required to analyze the failures and issues.
• Oracle Forms (Desired)
• Pro*C (Desired)
• Node/Angular JS (Desired)
• Experience of being part of BCP exercises in the past.
• Shell Programming (C-shell, KORN Shell) and PERL

General

• Extremely good communication and customer service skills
• Act on requests from internal and external parties
• Troubleshoot issues and determine root cause
• Monitor batch activities and drive to resolution on problems
• Ability to work on a task independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work in shifts, weekends and public holidays on short notice.
• Need to be very good with writing/creating/maintaining documents.
