As a Senior Engineer for Automation Quality, you'lldrive day-to-day quality execution across a mission-critical set of microservices and customer-facing workflows. You'llbuild and extend automation frameworks in Java and TypeScript, contribute high-signal Gherkin/Cucumber behavior-driven coverage, and partner closely with engineers, Product, and SRE to reduce risk and improve release confidence. You will also perform occasional manual and exploratory testing tovalidateedge cases and de-risk high-impact launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand and improve automation frameworks in Java and TypeScript using Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber; raisetest readability, stability, and reuse.

  • Contribute to quality strategy for yoursquad:help define the test pyramid, quality gates, and practical definitions ofdone;surface risks early with clear trade-offs.

  • Make accessibility part of everyday engineering: implement WCAG 2.2 AA acceptance criteria in test plans; add automated a11y checks (axe-core, Lighthouse) and support manual keyboard/screen-reader validation (NVDA/VoiceOver).

  • Build robust test data strategies: design repeatable seeding, isolation, and environment setup practices that keep suites deterministic and reduce flakiness.

  • Improve CI/CD reliability: helpoptimizesuite runtime via parallelization, stabilize flaky tests, and ensure artifacts (screenshots, videos, logs) are captured for fast debugging.

  • Partner on non-functional quality: contribute performance/load checks (JMeter or k6), basic resiliency validations, and monitoring/synthetic checks where applicable.

  • Manual and exploratory testing when needed: write charters, validatecomplex scenarios, reproduce tricky issues, and support UAT/bug bashes for major launches.
